Format: 158 x 190 cm – 5ft 2in x 6ft 3in
Weight: 1.680 g – 3 lb 12 oz
Date: 2015 – 2019
No. 202.2019.6
Technique: the geometric base uses rectangles and two sizes of fabric squares assembled in a 3-D pattern then quilted onto canvas with a silk core
Description: further to Time and Space 6, a palette of orange and yellow starts out from an off-centre point within the composition.
Close to the curve, the rectangle bursts into six squares for the design to spread out
Layered squares – cut from graffiti silk from the 1950s printed in Lyon – are twice as small, in two versions of this print that emphasises the down- and upstrokes
The quilting holds the layers together, following the spokes of the circles, one of which has its centre point outside the frame

Description: following on from Time and Space 5, a triptych in which the onlooker mentally fills in the spaces.
Close to the curve, the rectangle fragments into six squares, letting the pattern undulate. The squares placed over the assemblage are twice as small. Cut from silk produced in Lyon and featuring a Fifties graffiti print, they alternate between the top and undersides.
The quilted horizontal lines introduce relief, spaced according to a geometric sequence.
